We are pleased to announce an upcoming World Alliance between Yellonde, Kradia,Mardia, and Chaos. We know, we know – we previously announced a Server Alliance between Yellonde and Kradia, and that one fell through. However, this time the World Alliance is definitely taking place on June 7th, after the scheduled server maintenance is complete.
What does this mean for the players on these worlds?
- You will still log in to your respective world from the world select screen.
- All of your characters will still be separated by world, so you will essentially have quadruple the character slots for the allied world!
- When you log in to your world, you will interact with players from the three other worlds as well.
- We are expanding the channels available to 20 in the allied world, so that those of you who want to train by yourself still can.
- Your place in the rankings will not change, as it will still be determined on the world your character is created from.
- If two or more guilds on the new allied world share the same guild name, they will be renamed automatically. If this happens to your guild and you would like to choose a new name, please have your guild Master submit a ticket after June 7th to Customer Support under the Game related>World Alliance-Guild category.
In celebration of the World Alliance, we will be holding a 2x EXP & Drop Event (for the allied world only) from 2-6pm Pacific/5-9pm Eastern each day from June 7 to June 12.
We will also be giving a few gifts to the players of these worlds. Please log in from June 7 to June 13 to receive a 7-Day Hired Merchant Coupon, a Diablo Messenger, and a 7-Day Pendant of the Spirit. You can only claim these gifts once per account.
We hope that these changes will allow players on this new allied world to participate in more community activities than they previously could. We know you probably have lots of questions, so feel free to post them in our forums thread here. We’ll try to answer as many as we can.
I personally don’t care for the server merge. I’ve been in Scania since my own day one, and will stay there forever. However what bothers me is, that these servers even though merged, are probably still not as populated as Scania, yet they get an extra channel?
What the… Nexon, I know you’re doing a good job, but we populated servers are kind of long due as well.

On a side note, I got BillyGoats changed into Fourks and Writinq changed into Goates.

June 1 to June 13 in the Event Section of the Event Tab
Don’t get stuck anywhere in Maple World ever again! For the first time ever, we are offering Hyper Teleport Rock in permanent durations!
I just bought a 30 day tele rock…
Spend the last 5-6 hours installing and preparing my mom’s new iMac. I was jumping up and down like a 12 year old girl who got a puppy when I saw that my dad bought it today. The moment I came home I just went on and on, installing stuff and preparing it for her. Gosh I enjoyed this way too much. Gonna give her private Photoshop classes. But first explaining her how Mac works.
….
This is going to be hard.

We will be performing a scheduled server maintenance beginning on May 31, 2012. The maintenance will last approximately six hours.
Thank you for your patience.
-Time-

- All MapleStory game servers
- Name changes and world transfers will be processed.
- World Transfer and Name Changes have been removed from the Cash Shop.
- Items may no longer be listed on the Maple Trading System, but you can still retrieve your items from the MTS inventory.
- Please see the Bug Extermination Report for the list of resolved and known issues this maintenance.
- v.111 Update will be applied. Please see the update notes for more information.
Interesting enough, no patch. Just a server check. Meaning it’ll probably not take that long. I must admit that Nexon has been doing a terrific job when it comes to patches and server checks. Usually they end early and they’re not even that terribly long in first place. And instead of adding cash shop items, they fix bugs.
-pats Nexon on the shoulder-
Finally getting my name changes.

Hopefully the Chief stan’s hat quest will become available. I seriously want that hat on all my characters. Old maplers will understand my notion. I dropped it on my Bishop and feel like an idiot. The only item I find interesting, is the fishing pole. This all does hit me with a fist called nostalgia though.
2. Legends Character Creation // June 1 - June 14
- For a limited time, you can make as many Legends characters (Cannoneer, Mercedes, Demon Slayer) as you want, as long as you have open character slots.
Happy day. I was bothered by the IGN I gave my cannoneer and I just cannot stand it when I have 2 mules in front of my main characters. So I’ll probably remake my Cannoneer and Demon Slayer for the sake of moving them a spot in my character screen. I know, I’m wasting time T3T.
3. Bounty Hunter Event // June 6 - June 26
- Wanted Posters will be added to most towns.
- Accept the Bounty Hunter quests from a Wanted Poster.
- Depending on the week, you will be required to hunt a Red Mask, a Zombuddy, or a Bully.
- Round 1: Red Mask, June 6 - June 12
- Round 2: Zombuddy, June 13 - June 19
- Round 3: Bully, June 20 - June 26
- Collect a Bounty Mark from the drops of the appropriate target and bring it back to Cassandra.
- These quests are repeatable.
- Quest rewards include experience, mesos, and one of the following five items:
- Scroll for Gloves for Magic Attack 60%: Magic ATT +1, INT +1, Success Rate: 60%.
- Clean Slate Scroll 10%: Restore 1 available upgrade lost to failed scrolls. Untradeable. Cannot be used on Cash items. Success Rate: 10%.
- Swiss Cheese: +220 Magic ATT for 2 minutes.
- Chocolate Cream Cupcake: Restores 300 HP/MP, +30 ACC/Speed/Jump for 3 minutes. Untradeable.
- Melting Cheese: Restores 4000 HP.
- At the end of the each week, the top 20 players who have slain the most wanted criminals out of all the worlds will receive the exclusive Maple Bounty Hunter medal and Maple Point prizes.
- Maple Bounty Hunter: Req Lv: 13, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +7, Max HP/MP +100, Weapon/Magic ATT +7, Weapon/Magic DEF +100, ACC/AVOID +100, Speed/Jump +7. One-of-a-kind item, untradeable.
I can’t really say I care too much about this part of the patch. I might consider aiming for top 20 players, however I’m Scanian, why should I even bother? Unless the Medal is perm, I won’t bother with it.
4. Tracking the Outlaw // June 1 - June 26
- Accept this quest from the Wanted Poster located in most towns.
- Collect 50 Wanted Criminal Clues from monster drops and turn them in to Cassandra to receive experience, mesos and special equipment:
- Bounty Hunter Belt: Req Lv: 30, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +3, Weapon/Magic DEF +20, grants additional +2 to STR/DEX/INT/LUK and +5 to Jump to the upcoming GMS exclusive character. A Sharing Tag is required to move it within the account.
- Bounty Hunter Badge: Req Lv: 50, STR/DEX/INT/LUK +5, Max HP/MP +200, ACC/AVOID +10, Speed +5, grants additional +5 to STR/DEX/INT/LUK and +3 to Weapon/Magic ATT to the upcoming GMS exclusive character. A Sharing Tag is required to move it within the account.
Again something I can’t really care for. The badge, I might consider getting however. Though it bothers me that the medal only gives m.atk to the GMS exclusive character. I mean, it’s probably a class that doesn’t even need m.atk… Though nice of Nexon to make us get it first, then later transfer it with NX. Good going guys.

5. Maple Trading System Shutdown
- The MTS will be shutting down for the foreseeable future.
- You will be unable to post on the MTS following the update, and all items you have posted will be returned to you.
- Please retrieve the items in your Transfer Inventory before the MTS is completely closed.
Some people seem to be anticipating that the NX prices will go up. Some think they’re going down. As the reasons behind it going up, are fairly legit, I do think there’s a higher chance of them going down soon. Fleyx posted a video on BasilMarket/Youtube with his thoughts on it, and I felt the need to correct him on the prices going up. Below you see my comment. I’m not quite sure what is going to happen, but this seems like a logical approach to me.
The MTS is a full market of items you can purchase with NX. When you take away the market, where do we spend the money? If there’s no place to spend the money, your money becomes worthless. In other words, NX becomes worth less and the rates will go down, because the MTS has disappeared.

wooperes replied to your photo: This is adorable.
Can I put this on Basil Market on the Screen Shot section? D:
No f3.
Silly Maplers, we jump on the conclusion wagon way too fast. It’s starting to bother me a little how easily we are convinced of something being a fact, when a semi-famous child with a blog calls that it’s true without going through the actual facts of a post.
Is it overexcite? Probably. Do I really blame anyone for it? No, I want Justice to be around ASAP as well. However lets dig trough the Development blog posted a while ago.
Nexon: “As we move into June, we’ll be ramping up towards our big summer content release. Not just one but two new characters will soon be joining the MapleStory cast. While you may have heard about the Phantom hero if you follow the news of Korean MapleStory, we’re also preparing a brand new hero that will be exclusive to Global MapleStory.”
Let’s repeat that first line now shall we?
“As we move in to June.”
Let’s go even deeper!
“We’ll be ramping up”
To ramp up
vb (adverb)
1. to increase or cause to increase
2. (intr) to increase the effort involved in a process
In other words, to prepare oneself or something.
With that said, they never said it will be released in June. Surely we can assume that it will be released somewhere around June, however we cannot give 100% certainly about it because it’s not at all what they said. What their sentence literary means is that on the crossover of May to June (which would be between 25th of May till 10th of June in my humble opinion), they will be preparing for this patch.
Again, they could come out with it suddenly but the point is, that people are basing their knowledge too much on speculations.
Come on guys, let’s stop our e-penises for a moment and read what is being said. I’m not saying that it is 100% certain that it won’t come in June (I honestly think late June myself), but I don’t want to see you kittens disappointed because we all just can’t read realistically.

Goatesue’s note: Seems to be fake. Oh welp.
So a while ago Shakar had posted a few new Job IDs yet there was no clear information about these codes that indicated what they exactly were. Luckily, someone has cracked a few codes.
While I was browsing insoya today I ran into something about these codes. I believe they are the new codes for the new race/job for the game.
